the work that i ve been looking at this week got me to thinking about a completely inspirational morning that we spent at the angkor silk farm, outside of siem reap, cambodia last year.  throughout our travels, i was in awe of all the beautiful textiles and really curious to learn more about the art of weaving which was introduced to Cambodia in the 13th century.  this farm is run by the artisans d’angkor and trains young women to carry on the tradition of of silk weaving.  below are a few photos from our tour which demonstrate the process:
